It is the mission of the CMMS Music Boosters to assist the Band Director and school in providing our students with the best music education possible.  It is our desire to provide support morally, physically, and financially to accomplish this objective.  We also desire to promote the many opportunities available in the CMMS music program to all the Calle Mayor students.
 
Why Do We Need a Music Booster? PDF Print E-mail

School music programs are not considered basic education in the US and school funding for the Calle band programs has shrunk to almost nothing.  To continue a successful Music program at Calle, funding by the participants for the following items is essential: 

  • A good library of music
  • Instruments for students to borrow, particularly the more expensive, larger instruments
  • Instrument repair and upkeep
  • Other equipment, such as Band Room equipment and Theatrical supplies for the annual Musical
  • Trips to contests, festivals, and other special performances

       Over 30% of all the Calle students are involved in the Music Program!

Financial:  Join the Music Booster Program. 

                    Membership fee - $75 per family

 

Volunteer:  There are many opportunities to volunteer your time and/or resources

 

Support:  Participate at Booster Meetings.  Attend Performances and Competitions
